The document gives the user information relating to the planning of systems and units for workplace ventilation and their specific design for welders' workplaces and their vicinity. Its application allows to estimate the scope of action to be taken to achieve complicance with the targeted protection as specified by the Arbeitsstättenverordnung (Workplace ordinance), the Gefahrstoffverordnung (Hazardous-substances ordinance), the accident prevention regulation BGV D 1 in conjunction with the regulation BGR 121 issued by the employers liability insurance association.
