Summary
The standard defines a procedure for the determination of a task-specific uncertainty of measurement for coordinate measuring machines (CMM) with CT sensors. Using the determined uncertainty of measurement and the knowledge of the tolerance to be fulfilled, an assessment of a test process with coordinate measuring machines with CT sensors can be done on the basis of the statistic derived from 'test process suitability'. Therefore, a mutual coordination of measurement and manufacturing process is possible.
