The document describes a standard method which allows changes of metrological characteristics (accuracy, stability) of a form measuring instrument to determine and document the spindle deviation by roundness measurements at the place of installation. It described method for the testing of the radial spindle deviation is suitable for the acceptance inspection and stability test of form measuring instruments.
