The standard describes a procedure for the determination of the axial deviation of form-measurement systems. The axial deviation is involved in the chain of comparable and traceable measurement results as an overlay to the measurement result. This overlay is captured as a deviation. For the documentation, the design and the execution of a test is described. This ensures a consistent approach for acceptance tests and for monitoring of form-measurement systems. The procedure is based on a plan run measurement in the axis of rotation of the form-measurement system, using a planarity measuring standard. The procedure provides a simple testing of measurements and ensures traceability. The measurement results can also be used for the verification of the stability of the measuring device.
