The guideline describes possibilities for the stability monitoring of form measuring systems. The stability monitoring is necessary for the evaluation of the long-term behaviour of measuring processes. It serves the proof of continuously correct results of measurement. Stability monitoring contains the excecution of planned measurements at the setting up site for the proof of the instrumentation characteristics within given limit values. The documentation of the measurement results is made in SPC charts. This is a representation of the instrumentation characteristics over the time and allows, if necessary, the purposeful intervention for the receipt of these characteristics. Examples of rule maps are specified. This guideline is valid for form measuring instruments. The forms are attached as Microsoft Excel files on data media.
