This guideline specifies characteristics and their symbols for the measurement of the humidity of gas with a view to unifying the varied definitions existing in this area and to providing a common basis. The starting point for these efforts has been the standards at present in force which, due to their age, were, however, adjusted to today's general technical conditions.
