Temperature is one of the most important parameters in the industrial control and automation technology. Knowledge about the dynamic parameters of the temperature measurement is therefore of great importance. Often, however, the dynamic characteristics of temperature sensors and thermometers are not given enough attention. Therefore, the principles for the dynamic behaviour of contact thermometers and the corresponding dynamic parameters are defined in this guideline.
