VDI/VDE 3699 Blatt 2:2005-05

The document specifies regulations and gives recommendations, regarding the design of displays (mimics, curves messages) and regarding interaction procedures for cases where full-graphics display systems are used for process control. By explaining the basic principles, this part aims at providing a bais for understanding and accurate application of the other parts of this guideline. It is applicable to process control using display screens in plants of chemical and petrochemical process engineering, steam generation plants and process engineering plants in metallurgy, provided that no special regulations are to be observed in these plants or plant sections, as is the case, e.g. in nuclear-powered plants.
