VDI/VDE 3699 Blatt 2:2014-01

The standard provides the basic principles for the design of displays (mimics, curves, messages) for cases where full-graphics display systems are used for process control and also discusses the basic principles of interaction procedures. The standard is applicable to process control using display screens in plants of chemical and petrochemical process engineering, steam generation plants, and process engineering plants in metallurgy, provided that no special regulations are to follow. This standard forms a basis to understand and to utilise the other parts of the series of standards VDI/VDE 3699.
